Bulk Image Downloader ("ImgDown", "the extension") is a browser extension that finds images on the pages you are already looking at and saves them to your computer. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: nothing happens to it, because none of it is collected.
Summary
The extension collects no personal data, no usage data and no browsing history.
It has no server component. Nothing is uploaded, and no network requests are made to us — we do not operate any endpoint for the extension to talk to.
Images are downloaded by your browser directly from the site you are visiting to your own Downloads folder.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no account system, no identifier assigned to you, no analytics SDK and no telemetry of any kind.
We do not know how many images you download, which sites you visit, or even whether you use the extension at all. The only usage signal that exists is the anonymous install count Google shows on the Chrome Web Store listing.
What is stored on your device
Your preferences are saved with the browser's local extension storage so the extension behaves the same next time you open it. That includes your image filter rules (minimum width and height, selected file types, sort order) and your light/dark theme choice.
This data never leaves your browser. Removing the extension deletes it.
Permissions and how they are used
The extension requests the downloads, storage, contextMenus, tabs and scripting permissions, plus access to the sites you ask it to scan. Each one is used only for the feature it enables — saving files, remembering settings, adding the right-click item, working across the tabs you selected, and reading the list of images on those pages.
Access to all sites is required because image galleries can be on any domain; the extension reads the page you asked it to scan in order to collect image URLs, and does nothing else with the page content.
Third parties
The extension contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it loads no remote code — everything it runs ships inside the package that Google reviews.
When you download an image, your browser talks directly to the website hosting that image, exactly as it would if you saved it by hand. That website's own privacy policy applies to that request.
Children
The extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
Changes to this policy
If the extension ever gains a feature that changes any of the above, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change with it.
